Camp Something Special

The NAC and Have a Heart Foundation regret to announce that we will not be able to hold Camp Something Special (CSS) in the summer of 2012 primarily because of the upcoming construction at the NAC as well as a lack of space in which to properly serve the needs of the children.

Since the CSS program is very close to our hearts, we gave a great deal of consideration to this difficult decision.  Our CCS campers love and enjoy our activities like dance, gymnastics and sports at the NAC, but they also need a safe, quiet and private space as well.  With all the upcoming construction, we are, unfortunately, unable to provide a suitable space for the services required for the wide range of needs for our CSS children. 

It is our hope that, in the future, we can once again offer our Camp Something Special program. Please know that our commitment to the children and this camp has not waned, but rather our ability to provide the appropriate services is diminished to the point where we feel we have no choice but to discontinue the camp at this time.  

We thank you for your understanding as well as for your support in years past.  It will be our pleasure to keep you apprised of any updates in the future.
